Madeline's Blessing
Dear Heavenly Father, we come before thee as members of thy priesthood to present this child for a name and a blessing. The name which she will be known in the records of the church is Madeline Grace Adams. At this time Madeline we bless you, we bless you to have a calm and loving spirit to be able to possess the traits of those whose name you bear that you can be someone who reaches out to others who shares love and helps others to see Christ and come to Christ. We bless you to be happy to always lift up those who may be down. We bless you to know of your Heavenly Fathers love and your earthly parents they as well love you. We bless you to be worthy to have all the blessings in this life and the life to come. We bless you to know the Savior and to know his life and to try to live like him. We leave these blessings upon you and all the blessings that your Father in Heaven has in store for you. In the name of Jesus Christ amen.
Madeline was blessed pretty early on a non fast Sunday. We were so grateful that the bishop was willing to accommodate us so that family could be there. It was a beautiful day. Madeline looked so sweet in her dress and family booties.
